Ask anything in Stage 1 help
Type a question in Stage 1's help panel and get a short answer built from the help topics and the screen in front of you.

Some questions don't fit a topic title. Why did this person get no door? What happens when my connector never answers? You know what you want to ask. You don't know what the help calls it.
Stage 1's help panel now takes questions in plain words.
How it works
Open help with the Help button in the sidebar or the question mark on your keyboard. At the top of the panel there's a box that says Ask anything about this screen. Type the question and tap Ask.
The answer comes back in two to five short sentences, written the way a peer would say it, with where to tap when that helps. Below it, the topics closest to your question open in the list, so the source is right there to read.
What it answers from
The answer is built from two things. The help topics, and what's on your screen.
Stage 1 sends the AI the topics that match your question and the topics for the screen you're on. It sends the screen, the name of the account if you have one open, and a few facts about your workspace. Whether LinkedIn is connected, whether you're on the free trial, which LinkedIn plan you have, and whether you're looking at example data.
So the same question can get a different answer in different places. Ask why nothing is sending, and the answer knows whether LinkedIn is connected.
The AI is told to use only those topics and that context. When the topics don't cover your question, it's told to say it doesn't know and name the closest topic.
When there's no AI
If the AI isn't there, help still answers. Stage 1 matches the words in your question against every topic, gives a lift to topics on your current screen, and opens the three closest.
These look closest. They are opened below.
If nothing matches, it says so and asks you to try different words.
Each person gets up to 40 questions an hour. Past that, you get the closest topics without the written answer.
Why it's built this way
A help answer that sounds right and is wrong is worse than no answer. A seller told the wrong thing about how long an intro waits sends a cold note over the head of the connector who was about to say yes. So the answer stays inside what the help topics say, and the topics it came from sit right below it.
Services sellers don't use the vocabulary of the tool. They ask the way they'd ask a colleague across the desk. Stage 1 is built for that seller, the practice lead or founder who sells between client calls. Why most sales tech fails in services explains the gap, and owning every send explains why you stay in control of what goes out.
Ask the way you'd ask a colleague. The answer comes from how Stage 1 works and from the screen in front of you.
