Messages waiting on an accept
A LinkedIn message to someone you aren't connected to now sits in its own section, with where the invite stands, when it falls back, and a way to send it now.

LinkedIn only delivers messages between connections. So when Stage 1 drafts a first message to someone you aren't connected to, the message waits for them to accept your invite.
The waiting was right. The way it looked was wrong. Approved messages sat under a date marked overdue, with no way to move them. It read like a jam.
Now they have their own section on the Desk, Waiting on an accept. Each one says where the invite stands. Sent on Wednesday and not accepted yet. Or not sent yet, because the invite note still needs your approval. Or failed, with the reason.
Each one says what happens next. Five days after the invite, it goes by email when Stage 1 has their address and your mailbox is connected, or as an InMail while your credits last.
And you don't have to wait. Send by email now. Send as InMail now. Or copy it and send it yourself.
A held message should look held, not late.
