Wrong about a relationship? One tap fixes it

Every relationship Stage 1 detects shows its evidence and a Detected tag. Not right clears it for good, Change edits it, and you can always hand it back.

Detection gets things wrong. Two people at the same huge company for a year may never have met. A past client on your list may have been a one-off project nobody remembers. If Stage 1 acts on a bad read, the first line of your note claims a relationship that isn't there.

So every detected relationship comes with the evidence and a way to fix it in one tap.

What you see

Open an account on the Board. When Stage 1 has detected how you know someone, it shows under their name. A chip with the relationship, like Former colleague or Former buyer. The evidence next to it, like the company and the years you were both there, or how many messages have passed between you on LinkedIn. And a small Detected tag, so you always know Stage 1 found it and you didn't set it.

Next to that are the buttons.

Not right

Tap Not right and the relationship clears. For good. Stage 1 won't detect it again for that person, even when it rechecks.

The door changes with it. Without the relationship, Stage 1 picks the door again from what's left, often a cold door built on research. The reason for the new door shows under the person's name before anything is drafted.

Change

Tap Change and a short form opens. Pick how you know them from the list. Former colleague, bought from me before, knows me well, met but thin, close friend, owes me one, used to report to me, and the rest. Then add the detail the door needs. Where you worked together and a detail only the two of you would know. The work you did together and where. Who told you something, and whether they cleared their name.

Save it and your version wins. The Detected tag goes away, and the door is picked from what you said.

Use what Stage 1 detects

Change your mind later? Open the form again. Once you've set a relationship yourself, there's a button at the bottom that says Use what Stage 1 detects. Tap it and your own fields clear, and detection takes over again.

History with your firm

The same idea works at the account level. When an account is on your past-client list, Stage 1 shows it under History with your firm as a detected standing account. Tap Not right to clear it for that account, or Change to say what really happened. Your firm served them, they fired your firm, they inherited your firm, or there's history and nobody knows the details yet.

That last one matters. When there's history nobody can explain, nothing goes out until someone talks to the Client Partner.

Why it matters for services

A relationship claim is the most expensive line to get wrong. Open with you and I ran the claims program together to someone who doesn't remember you, and the note is worse than cold. It reads as a trick.

In a services firm, the history is messy. People rotate across clients. Projects get renamed. An account might have fired your firm before you joined. The data can find most of it. Only you know which parts are true.

So Stage 1 does the finding, shows its work and treats your answer as final. One tap to clear, one tap to change, one tap to go back.

The point

Stage 1 tells you what it thinks and why. You get the last word, and it sticks.
