Stage 1

Rebuild with AI

When the Brain was built without AI, Stage 1 says why and offers Rebuild with AI. Once AI works again, it rebuilds the Brain on its own.

Every message Stage 1 writes starts from the Brain. Your buyers, their pains, your proof and your voice. If the Brain is thin, the messages are thin, and you should know when that's happened and why.

Two kinds of read

Stage 1 builds the Brain from your website and the files you add. Normally Claude reads them and pulls out who you sell to, the problems you solve, your proof, your competitors and the signals that tell you a buyer is ready.

If that read can't happen, Stage 1 doesn't stop. It falls back to a basic read with plain rules. It matches the industries, buyer titles, pains and proof it can find on your site and fills in standard triggers and objections. Honest, but thin.

It tells you why

A basic read is marked. The Brain tab says Basic read under its name, and the Brain page opens with a note that names the reason. Either AI isn't connected yet, or the last AI read didn't go through, followed by what went wrong.

Basic read, without AI. The last AI read didn't go through. The call to Anthropic timed out.

You aren't left guessing whether the Brain is the real thing.

Rebuild with AI

When AI is available, a Rebuild with AI button sits next to the note. Press it and Stage 1 rereads every source you've given it, your site pages and your files, with Claude. It takes about a minute. If the answer comes back cut off or unreadable, Stage 1 asks once more for a shorter one before it falls back.

When it works, you'll see that the pains, triggers and competitors are fresh. When it doesn't, you get the new reason.

It heals itself

You don't have to remember to press anything. After a research run, Stage 1 checks for a Brain still on a basic read. If AI is working, it rebuilds, no more than once a day, and logs that AI is working again and the Brain was rebuilt with it. That line shows under Settings, Activity.

A Brain you've edited by hand is never touched. Your edits stand.

When the AI calls fail for a reason that won't clear on its own, like a rejected API credential or an empty balance, the Stage 1 team gets an alert. The fix starts on our side without you filing a ticket. Rate limits and overloads don't trigger one. Those pass, and the next run tries again.

Why it matters for a services seller

Your hypothesis is only as good as the pains behind it. An opener built from a basic read sounds generic, and generic is what senior buyers delete in two seconds. Knowing the read was basic tells you to check the Brain before you approve anything.

And a bad afternoon at an AI provider doesn't leave you with a thin Brain for a month. The next working run puts it right. More on what the Brain holds in inside the Brain, and on why generic openers fail in why your cold email sounds like everyone else's.

Where to find it

Open the Brain tab. The note and the button sit at the top of the page whenever the current read is basic.
