Keyboard shortcuts in Stage 1

J and K move between accounts on the Board, A approves, X passes, and Command K searches the whole app. How the shortcuts work.

Reviewing a Board is a run of small decisions. Read, decide, move on. Reaching for the mouse on every account slows that loop more than you'd think, and a slow loop is one you skip.

Moving through the Board

On the Board, J goes to the next account and K to the previous one. The list scrolls to keep the selected account in view, and the detail panel follows it.

A approves the account you're on. X opens the pass reasons, so saying why takes one more click. Escape backs out of a pass if you change your mind.

The buttons carry their letters. Approve account shows an A, Pass shows an X, and a hint next to them reminds you of J and K.

The shortcuts stay out of the way when you're typing. In a search box, a note or an edit, a J is just a J. They don't fire with Command, Control or Alt held down either, so your browser's own shortcuts still work.

Command K

Command K on a Mac, or Control K on Windows, opens search from any page. It finds every page in the app, each Settings and Brain tab, actions like Import a CSV and Add documents to the Brain, every account on your Board with its signal strength, and every reply waiting on the Desk.

Type a few letters, move up and down with the arrows and press Enter. Escape closes it. Press Command K again and it closes too.

Help on the question mark

The question mark opens help for the screen you're on. Topics for that screen come first, with a box to ask anything in plain words. Press it again to close.

Why it matters

The Board is meant to be worked every day. Approve what's ready, pass on what isn't and say why, and the ranking learns from your answers. The faster that loop runs, the more of it you'll actually do.

Speed doesn't mean skipping the reading. A approves only the account in front of you. With review on, nothing with words in it goes to a prospect until you approve it on the Desk. The shortcuts save the reaching, not the thinking.

For services sellers, the bottleneck is rarely finding accounts. It's the daily discipline of deciding on them. Shortcuts make that a ten-minute habit. For how the ranking works, see how Stage 1 ranks accounts on the Board. For how many accounts you can carry, see how many accounts one seller can really work.

Where to find them

J, K, A and X work on the Board. Command K and the question mark work anywhere in the app.
