Stage 1

Add your own accounts at setup

During setup you can keep Stage 1's suggested accounts, add your own by name or website, or both. Research starts only on the list you confirm.

You already know some of the accounts you want. The logos your partners keep bringing up, or the companies that look like your last three wins. A setup that ignores that list throws away the best information you have.

Pick, add, or both

Setup reads your website, builds the Brain, turns on the suggested plays and finds accounts that fit your ideal customer. Then it stops and hands you the list.

At the top of that screen is a box for your own accounts. Type company names or websites, separated by commas, or paste a column from a spreadsheet, one per line. A website turns into a company name on its own. You can add up to 200 at a time.

Your accounts go to the top of the list with a Yours tag, already checked. The suggestions follow, with the first ten shown and the rest one click away. Uncheck anything that isn't a fit and press Check filings and news. Keep at least one.

What happens next

Whatever you keep is watched from that moment, and research starts. News and company newsrooms come first, then filings, so the Board starts filling as you look around. Anything you unchecked is dropped and never researched.

LinkedIn and email aren't needed yet. Stage 1 asks for them at your first Approve, when it's time to find people and send.

Already have a CSV? Import it before setup reaches the pick screen and Stage 1 skips its own suggestions and works from your list. You can import more anytime under Settings, Import.

Starting from the example workspace

Some people look around the example workspace first. It's a made-up firm with made-up accounts, and nothing in it is real. When you're ready, Start with my company clears it. Accounts, people, signals, plays, the Brain and its sources go. Your team, settings, connections and opt-outs stay.

The trial and your list

Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial and no credit card. The trial shows full research on your top 15 accounts and lets you approve 10. When it ends, the Board keeps filling and approving and sending wait for a plan.

So it pays to keep a list you'd actually work. Fifteen accounts you believe in tell you more than fifty you'd never call.

Why it matters for a services firm

Services firms rarely start from zero. You have peers of past clients, accounts a partner has chased for years, and companies your best case study speaks to. Adding them at setup means the first Board ranks your own bets next to Stage 1's suggestions, on the same signals.

If an account you were sure about stays quiet and a suggestion lights up, that's worth knowing in week one, not month three. See build a target list that isn't a guess and your first Board in two minutes.
