See how every message goes out
Every message waiting for approval now shows how it will go out, whether email, LinkedIn message, invite note, InMail or intro ask, and how closely you're connected.

An InMail spends a credit. An invite note has 200 characters. An email lands in a work inbox. You should know which one you're approving before you click.
What you see
Every card in Going out carries a colored label on the right.
Email, in green, for messages to their work address.
LinkedIn message, in blue. It says You're connected when you are, and Sends after they accept your invite when it's the message that follows a connection request.
Connection request, for the invite and the note that rides with it.
InMail, in orange, when the message goes as an InMail and uses one of your credits.
Intro ask, in purple, with the name of the connector it goes to.
Next to it sits your connection degree. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or Not connected.
Why it matters
The same words read differently depending on how they arrive. A note to a 1st-degree connection can be warmer. An InMail to a stranger has to earn the read in its first line. Seeing the channel and the degree together tells you which message you're actually approving.
For the InMail rules, see InMail when the invite sits. For invite notes, see a note on every invite.
